These terms set out how my programmes work and what we each agree to. They form our agreement when you tick the box on the payment page and make your first payment.
1. About these terms
Berkeley Nutrition is run by Teddy Berkeley, a Registered Nutritional Therapist (BANT and CNHC registered), based in Southwick, West Sussex. In these terms, “I” and “me” means Teddy Berkeley trading as Berkeley Nutrition, and “you” means the client.
- Address: 11 The Crescent, Southwick, West Sussex BN42 4LB
- Email: hello@berkeleynutrition.co.uk
How I look after your information is covered separately in my privacy notice.
2. Your programme
Restore Revive Thrive is a one-to-one nutritional therapy programme for gut health, with a minimum term of 4 months (see section 5).
| What’s included | |
|---|---|
| Month 1 | A 90-minute initial consultation on Google Meet, your personalised plan, and one 30-minute check-in about three weeks later |
| Month 2 onwards | Two 30-minute check-ins a month, roughly every two weeks, plus plan updates as needed |
| Between sessions | Email support. I reply within one working day, Monday to Friday |
| Not included | Functional tests and supplements, which you pay for separately (section 8) |
Before your first session, I’ll ask you to complete an online questionnaire and a 3-day food and symptom log. Before each check-in there’s a short online form.
If I’m going on holiday, I’ll tell you at least two weeks in advance.
3. Payment
The programme costs £350 a month. Payment is taken by card through Stripe, on the same date each month as the day you signed up. Your first payment is taken when you sign up.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, Stripe will try again over the following days and I’ll let you know. If it still hasn’t gone through after 14 days, I’ll pause sessions until it’s paid.
- Price changes: your price won’t change during your 4-month minimum term. After that, I’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of any change, and you can leave before it takes effect.
- Card details: Stripe handles these securely. I never see or store your full card number.
4. Your 14-day right to cancel
You can cancel within 14 days of signing up, for any reason, and get your money back. This is your legal right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Starting straight away. Most people want to begin within those 14 days. When you sign up, you can ask me to start straight away by ticking the box on the payment page. If you then cancel within the 14 days, you’ll pay for what you’ve already received and I’ll refund the rest:
- before your initial consultation: a full refund
- after your initial consultation: I keep £200 for the consultation and your plan, and refund the rest of that month’s payment
How to cancel. Email hello@berkeleynutrition.co.uk saying you want to cancel. You can use the form at the end of these terms, but you don’t have to. I’ll refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card you paid with.
After the 14 days, the minimum term in section 5 applies.
5. Minimum term and leaving
The programme has a minimum term of 4 months, which is 4 monthly payments. Gut health takes time to change, and four months gives us room to test, adjust and see real results.
Leaving before 4 months. After your 14-day cancellation period, you can still stop early by giving me one month’s notice by email. That means one more monthly payment is taken, you keep your support until the end of that month, and then the programme ends with no further payments.
In exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness, I may end the programme early with no further payments. This is at my discretion.
After 4 months. At the end of your minimum term, we’ll agree what happens next. You can:
- carry on at £350 a month with two check-ins a month
- step down to one check-in a month at £275 (section 11)
- move on to Thrive maintenance at £125 a month (section 11)
- finish the programme
If you carry on, payments continue monthly with no new minimum term. To stop, email me before your next payment date and no further payments will be taken.
If I need to end the programme. If I can no longer work with you, for example because you need medical care first or I’m unable to practise, I’ll stop payments and refund any month you’ve paid for but not received.
6. Pausing
If illness, surgery or a major life event means you can’t take part for a while, you can pause the programme for up to 4 weeks. Just email me.
- No payments are taken while you’re paused.
- Your minimum term is extended by the length of the pause.
- We pick up where we left off when you’re back.
Holidays don’t need a pause. We’ll simply book your check-ins around them.
7. Booking, rescheduling and missed sessions
- Booking is down to you. You book your sessions through my Calendly link. I won’t chase you to book.
- Check-ins don’t roll over. Any check-ins you don’t book in a month can’t be carried into the next one.
- Rescheduling: move a session in Calendly with at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions missed, or moved with less notice, can’t be rebooked.
- If I need to move a session, I’ll offer you another time as soon as I can. You won’t lose it.
8. Tests and supplements
Tests. If we agree a functional test would help, such as a stool test or SIBO breath test, you buy it directly from the laboratory and pay them, not me. The lab’s own terms apply to the test, its delivery and any refunds. Results come to me, and I’ll go through them with you in a session. Tests are always optional.
Supplements. Any supplements I recommend are bought separately and aren’t included in the programme fee. I’ll always tell you what each one is for, how long to take it and when we’ll review it.
9. Your health and what nutritional therapy covers
Nutritional therapy supports your health through diet, lifestyle and supplements. It doesn’t diagnose or treat medical conditions and isn’t a substitute for your GP or other medical care.
- Keep your GP informed, and don’t stop or change prescribed medication without speaking to them.
- Tell me about any changes to your health, medication or pregnancy status.
- If anything you tell me suggests you need medical assessment first, I’ll ask you to see your GP. I may pause the programme until you have, in which case no payments are taken while paused.
- If you notice blood in your stool, unexplained weight loss, or symptoms that wake you at night, contact your GP straight away as well as letting me know.
Everyone responds differently, so I can’t guarantee particular results. What I can promise is careful, evidence-informed work, tailored to you and adjusted as we go.
10. The small print
Your information. I keep your information confidential and handle it as set out in my privacy notice. Recording sessions is optional and needs your separate consent.
Responsibility. I’m responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of me breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. I’m not responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits my responsibility for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, or anything else the law doesn’t allow me to limit. I hold professional indemnity insurance.
Complaints. If you’re unhappy with anything, please tell me first at hello@berkeleynutrition.co.uk and I’ll reply within 5 working days. If we can’t resolve it, you can raise it with my professional bodies, BANT or the CNHC, through their complaints procedures.
Changes to these terms. I may update these terms occasionally. Changes won’t apply to your current minimum term without your agreement. For ongoing monthly plans, I’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice.
The law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can also bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
11. Plans after your first 4 months
Once you’ve completed your minimum term, you can move on to one of these plans. Both are paid monthly, with no minimum term. Thrive can also be paid quarterly.
| One check-in a month | Thrive maintenance | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | £275 a month | £125 a month, or £340 every three months |
| Who it’s for | You’re still making progress and need less frequent sessions | You’re well and want to stay that way |
| Sessions | One 30-minute check-in a month | A 30-minute review call at the end of your first month, then every other month |
| Between sessions | Email support, with a reply within one working day, Monday to Friday | A monthly check-in form, with a written reply within 2 to 3 working days in months without a call, plus one extra email question a month |
| If symptoms flare | Covered by email support | Email with FLARE in the subject line and I’ll reply within one working day. You’ll also have a written flare-up plan |
- Payments are taken monthly on the date your new plan starts, as in section 3.
- Paying for Thrive quarterly: you can pay £340 for three months upfront instead of £125 a month. That payment covers the full three months and isn’t refundable after your 14-day cancellation period. To stop, email me before your next quarterly payment date and no further payments will be taken.
- To stop, email me before your next payment date. No further payments are taken, and your support continues to the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- Changing plan: you can move up or down between plans by telling me before your next payment date. If symptoms flare on Thrive, we may step you up to one check-in a month for a while, then back down.
- Your 14-day right to cancel (section 4) applies when you start a new plan. I’ll ask you to confirm you’d like it to start straight away.
- Everything else in these terms, including pausing, booking and rescheduling, also applies to these plans. Check-ins and review calls don’t roll over.
Starting on one check-in a month. Occasionally, by agreement, a client starts on the £275 plan from the beginning. In that case the programme works as described in sections 2 to 5, at £275 a month: a 90-minute initial consultation in month 1, then one 30-minute check-in a month, with the same 4-month minimum term and the same 14-day cancellation terms.
Cancellation form
You only need this if you want to cancel within your 14-day cancellation period. Copy it into an email to hello@berkeleynutrition.co.uk.
